Marko Segura This album in particular turns my mind into 80s sci-fi movies, like Blade Runner, or Total Recall.
I love the pads and the melodies!
I recommend The Light Dreams if you like stuff from Royksopp, Air, Massive Attack, Jean-Michel Jarre. Favorite track: The Distance.

Michael Reilly On this album Alex has seized the chance to create a dramatic album of excellent electronic tunes – an exciting journey that thrills with great compositions, fine production and epic ambience. I love the sci-fi feel of the instrumentation and the general flow of the music from track to track. Favorite track: Parallax.

Bradley Rust A great thing about instrumental music is that it leaves the door open for everyone to create their own imagery. I started with this playing in the background while doing a few tasks, but by track 3, the tasks were shelved. My attention was stolen and before too long i was on the couch listening through headphones enjoying the ride. The music is beautifully crafted and no doubt long agonised over too. The production is also stellar, good headphones or loud speakers really bring each element out. Favorite track: Parallax.

about

Upbeat electronica contrasts with dark, brooding instrumentals in an album which explores the passing of time from day break through to eventide.

“There are so many facets of time travel which fascinate me – the passing of time from day to day, the strange changes in pace during the dream state and the notion of looking back down our own personal timelines, made up of memories and nostalgia. Timeshift kind of picks up where Traces left off.”

-----

Our lives are swept along in the flow of time. Memories of the past, hopes for the future – all are changed by the movement of time, and we feel powerless to escape it. But those changes themselves provide opportunities for fulfilment.

In this album, we take a journey through life’s experiences from daybreak through to eventide. The excitement of a fast and vibrant pace is contrasted with the doubtful moods that night-time may bring. The lure and seduction of what is beyond our everyday existence challenges us to live life to the full. Smooth and mellow themes give a sense of assurance – at times – but there is always a feeling that the unexpected lies around the corner.

Shifting through time gives us a true perspective on our lives. The question for us is whether we have the nerve to seize the chance that it offers.
